We aim to create an inclusive community for young leavers from across the UK regardless of political affiliation. We want young leavers to feel that they are supported and give them the peace of mind knowing that they are not alone in their support of Brexit.
We want young leavers to have a space in which they can network, build friendships, and run university campaigns without the fear of abuse.
We aim to promote the positive effects of leaving the European Union, in doing so we are actively campaigning for an open, international, and truly global UK following Brexit.
We aim to establish Students For Brexit campaign groups in universities across the UK that will host a range of events from talks and socials to street stalls and petitions as part of our #GlobalFuture initiative. We want to take a positive vision of Brexit on to campuses across the Country.
We want to provide a strong, united, single voice for young leavers; we are tired with the narrative that all young people want to remain within the EU.
OUR BREXIT STANCE
Ultimately we believe that the result of the 2016 referendum must be implemented. A People’s Vote would undermine democracy in the UK and lead to an irredeemable loss of trust with the public.
Whilst we believe that the most desirable way to leave the EU is by securing a deal, we are firm in our belief that any agreed deal must not bind the UK into a backstop, a customs union, or the Single Market.
Therefore we would oppose any proposed deal which does not meet these principles.
We recognise that in any negotiation there is a need for compromise, however we will not accept any agreement which compromises the constitutional integrity of the UK.
We aren’t afraid of leaving the EU on World Trade Organisation rules. If a suitable deal cannot be negotiated we would then support leaving the EU on WTO terms and for a free-trade agreement to be negotiated at a later date.
